Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, “A modern classic. Fruit from the Helderberg, Bottelary and Vlottenburg wards combine to deliver supreme balance and intensity. The wine is plummy and redcurrant-driven, with cassis, crisp green herbs, pencil shavings, and a dusting of spice and smoke. The palate is long and rounded, with equal amounts of power and freshness. There is a deliberate density, richly-fruited with a granitic seam, and a pure core of cassis. The expansive, broad mouthfeel is framed by judicious oaking from 22 months in new French oak.
