Champagne Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 2015 Magnum

R9,895.00 inc. VAT
"The 2015 Brut Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill shows off the savory side of the vintage to great effect. Hints of dried pear, sage, mint, dried flowers, lemon oil and chamomile open gradually in this mid-weight, lithe edition of Pol Roger's tête de cuvée. The 2015 unfolds nicely with time in the glass, but I wouldn't think of opening a bottle anytime soon. Readers will find a nervy Winston Churchill marked by notable freshness and vigor more than size. This is a fine effort in a vintage that has proven to be far trickier than most observers originally envisioned. Dosage is 7 grams per liter. Disgorged September 2022." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Champagne Pol Roger Rosé 2015

R1,595.00 inc. VAT
"Fleshy and dramatic, Pol Roger's 2015 Brut Rosé bursts with aromas of plums, red berries, blanched almonds and subtle hints of tangerine oil. On the palate, it's full-bodied, broad and enveloping, with an elegantly muscular, vinous profile, its fleshy core of fruit girdled by bright acids and delicately chalky structuring extract. This is an especially gastronomic rosé from this house, and it should age with style given its concentration and depth." - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Trapet Sonnenglanz Pinot Gris Grand Cru 2015

R650.00 inc. VAT
Trapet Sonnenglanz Pinot Gris Grand Cru 2015, "From the heavy, well-structured and very stony calcareous soil of the 33-hectare Grand Cru and harvested on September 27, the 2015 Sonnenglanz Pinot Gris offers a clear, delicate but dense and elegant bouquet of fresh, ripe fruits. Fermented in stainless steel, this is a clear, fresh and mineral, very elegant Pinot Gris, offering a fruity sweetness combined with a lot of finesse and a lingering salinity. The tannins are fine and the wine reveals good tension. A terrific Pinot Gris that should be aged for another seven years to gain even more complexity and reduce the sweetness a bit." - Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate

Trapet Sonnenglanz Gewürztraminer Grand Cru 2015

R650.00 inc. VAT
Trapet Sonnenglanz Gewürztraminer Grand Cru 2015, "From 30-year-old vines on shell limestone soils and fermented in concrete eggs, the 2015 Sonnenglanz Gewürztraminer is a fine and elegant dry fermented to medium-sweet. Bottled in September 2016, this wine has a very clear, intense and fresh bouquet with smoky aromas and fresh lemon flavors. Round, dense and tightly woven, this is a mouth-filling Gewurz with a lovely juiciness and concentration. Fine tannins and a stimulating salinity make this another gorgeous Gewurz." - Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate
