Domaine Méo-Camuzet Bourgogne-Hautes Côtes de Nuits Clos St. Philibert Monopoly 2018

"There is good freshness to the softly exotic aromas of mostly white orchard fruit that is trimmed in lychee nut nuances. The forward, supple and easy-going flavors are delicious and sufficiently forward that this should drink well shortly after release."- Allen Meadows, Burghound

Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2018

"Bright violet. Expressive, smoke-accented cherry, Chambord, licorice, succulent herb and exotic spice qualities on the nose. Weighty and broad on the palate, offering intense red fruit, floral pastille, allspice, cola and botanical herb flavors that turn sweeter as the wine opens up. The floral note gains strength with air and drives the impressively long, penetrating finish, which features polished tannins and resonating cherry and floral notes." - Josh Raynolds, Vinous

Terrasse 2019 has a polished, light-yellow gold colour, with an explosive bouquet of lime, apple, pineapple, and peach with notes of vanilla, and butterscotch. The palate is rich, but fresh. A seemingly weightless entry comes quickly to life with ripe apricot, peach, and pear flavours complimented by cut grass, vanilla oak, and rich lees. This is followed by a lingering sweet-sour aftertaste. - Winemaker's notes

Keermont Amphitheatre 2015

R580.00 inc. VAT
"Bright crimson red in the glass, although more opaque than dark. This wine opens with dusty, ripe strawberry aromas complimented by hints of baked pudding, vanilla, and sweet citrus blossom. The palate is tight and effortless. There is a firm chalky tannin structure and an array of flavours from ripe plum and berries to more savoury herbs and oak tannin. The finish is long and succulent with lingering cherry flavours and grippy tannins." - Winemaker's notes

The blend is 40% Sémillon, 30% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Sauvignon Gris and 10% Muscadelle." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Winemaker's notes

Keermont Fleurfontein Non-Vintage 375ml

R264.99 inc. VAT
"Yellow gold in colour with a copper tinge, the Fleurfontein Non-Vintage exudes aromas of dried apricot, lime marmalade, and ripe orange rind with hints of hazelnut and vanilla. The palate is full and creamy with concentrated flavours of dried fruits and marzipan with a grassy freshness. A central core of acidity gives the wine a long, complex, and succulent finish with a slightly salty touch. Drink now through to 2031." Winemaker's notes

Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc 2020

Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc 2020, "A blend of three mountainous Stellenbosch vineyards. The wine is supremely expressive of these distinct sites, with soils of pure shale, Greywacke and granite; aromatics of waxy flowers popping open in the breeze, crushed lime, smoked honey and wet stone. Harmonious. Yellow peaches are bright and sun-kissed on the palate, while the density of fruit - tangy apricot, mango and caramelised pineapple - is pithy and mouth-coating. The mineral acidity carries all the richness of the fruit into a refreshing finish with hints of toasty nuts on the tail." - Winemaker's notes

Damascene W.O. Cederberg Syrah 2020

Damascene W.O. Cederberg Syrah 2020, "A singularity. So expressive of its liminal site; a mountainous vineyard 940-metres above sea level. Floaty red fruit, sour cherry, cranberry; the sandalwood scent of scrub and fynbos, a glow of white pepper, iridescent and driven. Hands-off winemaking assures the austerity and lightness of being of the wine remains intact. The fresh red fruit continues on the palate, underscored by a riper touch of blackcurrant wrapped in a fine-boned structure. Clear, precise acidity conjures up the coolness of the site; the spice lingers long into the finish." - Winemaker's notes

Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Syrah 2020

Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Syrah 2020, "Scented, silky, spicy and floral. Made in the clouds, a large component of this Syrah hails from Karibib, a granitic site at the very top ridge of the Stellenbosch farm. A weather system informs the grapes growing here; a regular occurring cloud formation is drawn in from the Atlantic Ocean and only covers this specific site. The diffused light and cool temperatures safeguard the intense aromatic quality of the fruit; dark-green coiled garrigue, jasmine, violets, and white pepper scents, livened by fresh cherries and wild strawberries. Fruit from the Bottelary ward brings structure and backbone, adding an inky depth of black fruit; while Devon Valley grapes give refreshing lift and linear acidity. The clarity of fruit is underscored by charcuterie spice and grapefruit pith, driven along a granular grip of tannins. Just a hint of bitter cherry on the composed, detailed finish." - Winemaker's notes

Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Cabernet Franc 2020

Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Cabernet Franc 2020, "Vibrant aromas of fresh fennel, bramble, black cherries, dried violets, graphite, and hints of sweet tobacco. The wine is fragrant and evolving; leafy on the edges, conjuring up images of tomato vines in the sun, alongside camphor and campfire under starry skies. An energetic and nervy palate is wrapped around a core of iodine, overlaid with tangy redcurrants, tart cherries, cranberries, and blackcurrants. The fresh fruit is complemented by lively acidity and an inherent vitality. There’s purity to the tannin structure, unencumbered by wood, red-fleshed and grippy, tailoring into a precise, dry finish." - Winemaker's notes

Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, "A modern classic. Fruit from the Helderberg, Bottelary and Vlottenburg wards combine to deliver supreme balance and intensity. The wine is plummy and redcurrant-driven, with cassis, crisp green herbs, pencil shavings, and a dusting of spice and smoke. The palate is long and rounded, with equal amounts of power and freshness. There is a deliberate density, richly-fruited with a granitic seam, and a pure core of cassis. The expansive, broad mouthfeel is framed by judicious oaking from 22 months in new French oak. The tannins are firm and resolute, lending the wine structure and intensity, balanced by a refreshing acidity and moderate alcohol. Elegant, dry finish. " - Winemaker's notes

Domaine Moreux-Corty Pouilly-Fumé Artisan La Loge aux Moines 2019

This is the flagship wine from a domaine whose history stretches back to the 17th century and which is being revitalised by the current (14th) generation of owners, brothers Arnaud and Julien. These are serious wines, an incredible expression of Pouilly-Fumé. The 4.5ha south-facing parcel of vines that make La Loge aux Moines (The Monks' Lodge) is planted on Kimmeridgian marl with a very high proportion of active limestone. Wines from this plot are characterised by great precision, minerality and structure. It's an austere style, with faintly smoky, herby aromas that hint at great concentration beneath. A delicious expression of Pouilly-Fumé, made with great finesse.- Amy Wislocki, Decanter

Domaine Moreux-Corty Pouilly-Fumé Artisan Caillottes 2019

The 2019 Pouilly-Fumé Corty Artisan Caillottes is rounded, supple and full-bodied, albeit rather languid. There's a sense of weight that makes this wine move rather slowly, without a line of acidity to keep it fresh – perhaps a consequence of the warm, dry vintage. You can expect bruised apple fruit and hay on the short finish. - Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous

Domaine Philippe Alliet Chinon Vieilles Vignes 2019

This exquisite Chinon is made from the oldest vines of the Domaine – averaging 60 years. It is a blend from varying plots of gravel and sandy soil vineyards in the small village of Cravant-Les-Côteaux by the Vienne River.
