Trapet Alsace “Ambre” Gewurztraminer Macere 2018

R475.00 inc. VAT
"The dress is orange. The disc is shiny, limpid and transparent. For a macerated wine, the wine presents a very beautiful youth! The nose is frank, pleasant and intense with notes of dried fruits and citrus peel. The palate is suave and balanced by the soft tannins, why not try it on hard cheeses, blues, bitter crusts, chocolate desserts. And for the more adventurous, with saffron and spicy dishes. It is a perfect wine to associate with dishes which call for tannins and fine silky bitterness." - Producer Note

Trapet Alsace Riesling “Schlossberg” Grand Cru 2014

R850.00 inc. VAT
"A vineyard of great renown, the Schlossberg is mentioned from 15th century in documents concerning ground rents. From 1928 the winegrowers of Kaysersberg and Kientzheim engaged themselves by a written convention to reduce the natural productivity of the vine on this site, usage which has since been unanimously respected by all and confirmed by the Grand Cru decrees of 1975 and 1992. Schlossberg wines are characterised by their very fine, richly floral bouquet. Delicate and distinguished, they do not attain their plenitude until after several years in bottle." - Producer Note

Trapet Schoenenbourg Riesling Grand Cru 2013

R850.00 inc. VAT
"The 2013 Schoenenbourg Riesling opens with a deep, clear, fresh, very intense and mineral, rather cool and herbal nose with white fruit and salty-mineral aromas of crushed stones. Full-bodied, round, piquant and persistently salty, this is a clear, straight, very well-defined and highly elegant Schoenenbourg. There are firm but fine tannins structuring this complex and expressive, persistently structured and excitingly pure Schoenenbourg with a very long finish that indicates an excellent aging potential. Great to enjoy today, but also for the next 10-15 years." - Stephan Reinhardt, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
