Champagne Lanson Black Label Brut Non-Vintage - “Light gold. Aromas of nectarine, pear and lemon curd, with subtle ginger, lees and floral accents. Powerful yet lithe and focused, finishing with very good clarity and length and lingering spiciness.”- Josh Raynolds, Vinous

Champagne Lanson Vintage 1998 Magnum

R4,749.99 inc. VAT
Lanson 1998 presents a golden yellow colour. On the nose, aromas of apple, pear and quince are generously exuded, while notes of elderflower, honey and spices give this palette an airy quality. On the palette, the silky attack develops complex, persistent flavours of fruit jellies. The fresh finish underlines the delicacy of the vintage and prolongs the pleasure. Winemaker's notes

Champagne Marguet Père et Fils “Sapience” Brut Nature Premier Cru 2009

R2,460.00 inc. VAT
"This is the fourth vintage of Benoît Marguet's Sapience, Champagne's first organic prestige cuvée, which he began producing before he took over his family vineyards, using purchased grapes: Bouzy Pinot Noir from Benoît Lahaye, Cumières Pinot Meunier from Vincent Laval and Trépail Chardonnay from David Leclapart. Disgorged in June 2019 without dosage, the 2009 Brut Nature Premier Cru is showing brilliantly, wafting from the glass with a complex bouquet of citrus oil, dried orange peel, white flowers and subtle hints of praline. Full-bodied, layered and textural, it's seamless and complete, with a deep core, ripe but racy acids and a long, intense finish" - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Champagne Lanson “Clos Lanson” Blanc de Blancs Brut 2006

R3,100.00 inc. VAT
"The 2006 Clos Lanson is bright, focused and exceptionally pure. Veins of underlying acidity and chalkiness give the 2006 its super-distinctive, saline-driven personality. Lemon peel, white flowers, chalk and white pepper develop in the glass, adding further dimensions of nuance. With time in the glass, the 2006 acquires lovely textural brilliance, but it remains tense, crystalline and absolutely impeccable in its purity. The aromatics could use a bit more finesse and freshness, but otherwise this is a solid debut. Clos Lanson is fermented entirely in barrel, but the oak is very nicely integrated. Disgorged December, 2014." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Champagne Lanson “Le Vintage” Brut 2009

R1,250.00 inc. VAT
"Disgorged in February 2017, Lanson's 2009 Brut Vintage is more immediate than its 2008 predecessor, bursting from the glass with notes of citrus oil, green apples, fresh peach and wheat toast. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and charming, it's bright and penetrating, but also comparatively giving and approachable for a young-vintage Lanson." - William Kelly, Wine Advocate

Champagne Larmandier-Bernier Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru “Vieille Vigne du Levant” 2010

R1,325.00 inc. VAT
"Disgorged in June 2018, the 2010 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Vieille Vigne du Levant offers up a bright and detailed bouquet of citrus oil, flowers, white peach, warm bread and a delicate top note of walnut oil that's less pronounced than its delicately oxidative 2009 counterpart. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, broad and satiny, with considerable concentration and old-vine extract, concluding with a long and saline finish." - William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Champagne Larmandier-Bernier “Longitude” Extra-Brut Non-Vintage

R795.00 inc. VAT
"The latest release of NV Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Longitude is showing very well indeed, opening in the glass with a classy and youthfully reserved bouquet of lemon oil, freshly baked bread, crisp yellow orchard fruit and wet chalk. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, elegantly textural and concentrated, with racy acids, terrific tension and a pinpoint mousse. This new disgorgement is especially harmonious and complete. Longitude is routinely one of the region's finest values; indeed, along with Egly-Ouriet's VP bottling, this is one of my two "house" Champagnes." - William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Colmant Methode Cap Classique Brut Rosé Non-Vintage

R250.00 inc. VAT
"While Chardonnay makes up 25% of the blend, Pinot Noir leads the dance with 75%. A portion (10%) of the Pinot Noir is macerated on the skins to give the Brut Rosé its colour and signature red berry aroma and flavour. The Chardonnay contributes vivacity, finesse and harmonious elegance. 15% of the base wine is barrel fermented and there is a 15% reserve wine portion blended in. Maturation time on lees is 24 months minimum." - Producer Note

Colmant Methode Cap Classique Sec Reserve Non-Vintage

R250.00 inc. VAT
"Franschhoek, Robertson and Elgin fruit were used in the 52% Pinot Noir and 48% Chardonnay blend. A portion (10%) of the wine underwent fermentation in French oak barrels and 20% of reserve wine from previous vintages was blended in to enhance intensity and complexity. Maturation time on lees is 24 months minimum. The wine was then degorged with the addition of a generous liqueur de dosage which added a unique twist to the gentle aroma and flavour." - Producer Note

Colmant Methode Cap Classique Blanc de Blancs Non-Vintage

R299.00 inc. VAT
"Lightly wooded, with 20% reserve wine and nearly four years on lees, this Blanc de Blancs is based on the 2015 vintage. Toasty and tangy, with large bubbles, some baking spice and brioche flavours and some phenolics on the finish." - Tim Atkin MW, South African Special Report 2019

Champagne Vilmart et Cie “Coeur de Cuvée” Brut 2011

R1,595.00 inc. VAT
"The 2011 Brut Coeur de Cuvée has put on a bit of weight since I tasted it last, and that is not a bad thing at all for a year in which the wines are a bit light. Tangerine oil, marzipan, pastry, lemon confit and a touch of sweet oak give the 2011 tons of complexity. Beautifully perfumed and nuanced, the 2011 is once again positively stellar." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com.

Champagne Pol Roger Rich Demi-Sec Non-Vintage

R895.00 inc. VAT
"Light, bright yellow. Ripe pear and nectarine on the fragrant nose, with hints of lemon curd, honey and dried fig adding complexity. Shows very good depth and a supple texture, with sweet poached pear and pit fruit nectar flavors sharpened by a minerally element. Closes silky, broad and gently sweet, with a suave floral quality coming up late. This would make a fantastic pairing with blue cheeses." - Josh Raynolds, Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com

Colmant Methode Cap Classique Brut Reserve Non-Vintage

R245.00 inc. VAT
"Produced before the arrival of sparkling wine guru, Paul Gerber, earlier this year, the Colmant Brut Reserve proves that he has good raw material to work with. Based on the 2017 vintage, but with some raw material, it's youthful, dry and well balanced with lovely restraint and focus." - Tim Atkin MW, South African Special Report

Champagne Lanson Le Rosé Label Brut Non-Vintage

R975.00 inc. VAT
"Pale orange. Fresh redcurrant and tangerine aromas are complemented by talc and allspice, with a seductive floral quality building in the glass. Lively and focused on the palate, displaying nervy citrus and red berry flavors and an undercurrent of chalky minerals. Finishes with very good clarity, grip and tangy persistence, the red fruit and mineral notes repeating." - Josh Raynolds, Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com

Prosecco San Leo Brut Non-Vintage

R220.00 inc. VAT
Colour, bright pale straw-yellow; a fine, clear mousse with a very delicate perlage. Bouquet, Attractively intense, very fruity and aromatic, with hints of wisteria flowers and Rennet apples.
