Dr Loosen “Erdener Treppchen” Riesling Auslese 2016

R595.00 inc. VAT
"Mint-infused apple, lime and orange entice the nose and generously inform a glossy, rich yet delicate and abundantly juicy midpalate. The long finish here is subtly smoke-tinged and suffused with crushed stone. Here is another instance in the present collection where botrytis influence is barely noticeable as such and has not precluded utmost transparency as well as genuine refreshment such as one too infrequently encounters from an Auslese." - Vinous

Dr. Loosen Riesling Trocken “Red Slate” 2017

R195.01 inc. VAT
"The 2017 Riesling Trocken Rotschiefer (aka Red Slate Dry) is clear, intense and lush on the ripe and well-concentrated nose with its warm slate and tropical fruit aromas. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, rich and racy-piquant, and the finish is straight and fresh, with remarkable complexity, salt, grip and pronounced acidity." - Stephan Reinhardt, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Dr. Loosen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese 2006 (187ml)

R1,485.00 inc. VAT
"Trockenbeerenauslese (TRAW-ken Bear-en OWS-lay-zuh) is German for “dried berry selection.” This is the most labor-intensive and intensely concentrated wine that we can produce. It is made by individually selecting only the fully shriveled, botrytis-affected grapes and pressing them very slowly to yield a tiny bit of ultra-dense nectar. The wine has a multi-layered, deeply complex aroma of fruits and is so intensely sweet on the palate that it makes you shudder. But once again, Riesling’s naturally brilliant acidity keeps the wine lively and freshening." - Producer Note
