"Reflecting the heat spikes of the 2020 vintage, this is the fuller bodied of the two current Merlot releases from Keermont. Sweet, ripe and concentrated, it has notes of mulberry and raspberry jam, textured, supple tannins and deftly integrated older oak." - Tim Atkin MW

Deep garnet-purple colored, it opens with compelling notes of plum preserves, boysenberries and blueberry compote, plus wafts of underbrush, red rosesand Sichuan pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate is laden with juicy black fruits, supported by soft tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with a peppery lift. 8,000 bottles made." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate

Clos Cantenac Saint Emilion 2016

R925.00 inc. VAT
"The 2016 Clos Cantenac is a 100% Merlot picked from 21 September to 7 October, aged in 45% new oak barrels for 12 months. It has a concentrated bouquet with blackberry and cassis notes, just a hint of raisin, the oak neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with black cherries, blueberry and loganberry. I appreciated the tannin structure here and the acidic drive that reins in the finish and keeps it on track. This should be well worth investigating once in bottle." - Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate

Clos Cantenac L’Exuberance Rosé 2021

R295.00 inc. VAT
Clos Cantenac L’exuberance Rosé 2021 ,"An old-vine Sémillon bottling interpreted through the lens of the Hunter Valley, the 2021 L'Exuberance Blanc is a medium-bodied, taut and chiseled wine evocative of waxy lemon, white flowers and crisp pear. Given the variety and this intriguing cuvée's taut, linear style, I suspect it will reward bottle age. It's bottled under glass rather than cork." - William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
