Keermont Terrasse Magnum 2021

R559.56 inc. VAT
"The 2021 Terrasse, estate-grown fruit aged in seasoned oak for 12 months, has a lovely honeysuckle-scented bouquet with hints of persimmon coming through with time. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, a light oiliness on the entry and quite peppery with a bright, spicy finish. Very fine." - Neal Martin, Vinous

J.L. Chave Sélection Hermitage Blanc Blanche 2019

R950.00 inc. VAT
"Another incredible white from this family is the 2019 Hermitage Blanc, a powerful, concentrated, and remarkably pure Hermitage that has laser-like focus as well as textbook Marsanne notes of quince, green almond, powdered rock, licorice, and spice. It’s still tight, focused, and inward at present, yet it reminds me of the 2018 with its purity and rare mix of power and elegance. It’s worth trying a bottle any time over the coming 3-5 years, but after that, I’d recommend waiting until after 2031. 98+" - Jeb Dunnuck

J.L. Chave Sélection Crozes-Hermitage Blanc “Sybèle” 2021

David & Nadia Aristargos 2022

R410.00 inc. VAT
"At 13,000 bottles, Aristargos is one of the larger production whites in David and Nadia Sadie's portfolio. Based on Chenin Blanc, with the remaining 53% made up of Semillon, Verdelho, Clairette Blanche, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Colombard and Viognier, it's a layered, mealy, waxy cuvée with subtle skin contact bitterness, racy acidity and pear, quince and lemongrass flavours." - Tim Atkin MW

Rall White 2022 Magnum

R895.00 inc. VAT
Rall White 2022 , "This blend of Chenin Blanc 72%, Verdelho 24% and Viognier 4% now in its 15th vintage is possibly my favourite to date. Grapes grown mainly in the granitic soils of the Paardeberg and now also containing a big portion of fruit from the vineyard used for Noa this 2022 is certainly the most focused and age worthy white in this years release. All components fermented naturally and matured separately in a combination of 2000 litre foudre, seasoned small French oak and concrete eggs before blending and bottling after 10 months. 13450 bottles produced" - Winemaker's notes

Rall White 2022

R355.01 inc. VAT
"The Rall white is an 80/20 cuvée of Swartland and Stellenbosch grapes, combining Chenin Blanc with 24% Verdelho and 4% Viognier. Showing some subtle struck match reduction, it displays flavours of citrus, beeswax and apricot, very understated oak spices and surprising weight and concentration for a wine with 12.5% alcohol." - Tim Atkin MW

Alheit Vineyards Hemelrand Vine Garden 2022

"The only grapes that Chris Alheit sources from the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge are from the vineyard planted around his Hemelrand winery. Showing the cooler conditions of the region in what was a sweltering vintage in many parts of the Cape, this a cleverly judged cuvée of Chardonnay, 29% Roussanne, 20% Chenin Blanc, 18% Verdelho and 2% Muscat. Lily, ginger and talcum powder aromas segue into a palate of orange zest and tropical fruit, some peachy sweetness and a fresh, well-balanced finish." - Tim Atkin MW

Alheit Vineyards Cartology 2022

R445.00 inc. VAT
"It was a vintage that gave you the chance to show what you were made of," says Chris Alheit of the "middling 2022 growing season". It certainly did. This is a brilliant cuvée of Chenin Blanc with 8% Semillon, sourced from ten different vineyards. Showing lots of energy from early picked grapes on granite soils, it has fennel, fynbos and lanolin aromas, citrus, green herb and wet stone flavours, and good ageing potential, despite the heat of the vintage." - Tim Atkin MW

BLANKbottle Orbitofrontal Cortex 2022

R310.01 inc. VAT
BLANKbottle Orbitofrontal Cortex 2022, "The barrels I like", is how Pieter Walser describes the selection process for this Chenin Blanc and Verdelho based blend with 46% Clairette Blanche, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne and a soupçon of Viognier. Lightly skin fermented, it has top notes of wild flowers and wet stone, citrus, pear and grapefruit flavours and a finish that lingers on the palate. Delicious."- Tim Atkin MW

Oremus Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 2014 (500ml)

R1,100.00 inc. VAT
"Aszu 5 Puttonyos 2014 is a bright golden colour and has the characteristic aromas of ripe apricot, honey, and citric nuances of grapefruit. It is complex and rich with a refreshing finish, typical of a classic sweet Tokaji wine, without forgetting the acidity perfectly balancing the sweetness." Winemaker's note

Keermont Fleurfontein 2021

R310.01 inc. VAT
"Consistently among the Cape's sweet wine elite, this is an unusual blend of Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Roussanne. Naturally fermented in French and Hungarian oak, it has layers of passion fruit, pineapple and mango, intense 225 grams of residual sugar and a tangy, tartetatin finish. The volatile acidity is commendably low for the style." - Tim Atkin MW

BLANKbottle Empire Strikes Back 2021

R280.00 inc. VAT
"The name of this wine is a reference to the renaissance of Stellenbosch, which is the origin of this assemblage of Verdelho with 62% Chenin Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne. Old wood and concrete fermented, it has pear, patisserie and clementine flavours, fine texture and the freshness that's a feature of Pieter Walser's whites. 2022-26." - Tim Atkin MW

Conceito “Contraste” White 2019

R220.00 inc. VAT
"The 2019 Contraste Branco is a blend of traditional white grapes, like Rabigato, Códega, Códega do Larinho, Arinto, from mostly 20+-year-old vines at 600 meters in altitude, all co-fermented (wild ferment) in a 70/30 mixture of stainless steel and new French oak for eight months. It comes in at 13% alcohol. An elegant and lovely Contraste, it's a little lean but fresh, pure and lively. The fruit is lifted by the acidity and the flavors linger nicely. This is enticing for its balance and its youthful freshness. The only thing that might hold this back is the question of whether it stays at this level for most of its useful life. Can it develop? I won't be surprised if it lasts a decade from the vintage date, more or less, but whether it is this good in 2025 might be a different question. We'll see. It drinks great now, and today you'll like it better than the score suggests. It will also be great next summer." - Mark Squires, The Wine Advocate

Conceito White 2019

R494.99 inc. VAT
"The 2019 Branco, the estate flagship, is a field blend from old (centenarian) vines at 600 meters in altitude aged for 10 months in used French oak. Principal grapes include common Douro white grapes, like Rabigato, Códega, Códega do Larinho, Cerceal, Gouveio and others. Very dry, the residual sugar is nominal and the total acidity comes in at 7.1 grams per liter. It comes in at 12.9% alcohol. Average in concentration—this is never a fat and fruity white, to be sure—this shows reasonably good structure, but there is a reductive issue on the nose. It is smoky and flinty. The rest is pretty nice, but the smoke—reduction, I presume—has to blow off. It often does with aeration or time. In the meanwhile, let's be a bit conservative. Give it some air if you open it in the near future. Call this a compromise ." - Mark Squires, The Wine Advocate

Keermont Fleurfontein Non-Vintage 375ml

R264.99 inc. VAT
"Yellow gold in colour with a copper tinge, the Fleurfontein Non-Vintage exudes aromas of dried apricot, lime marmalade, and ripe orange rind with hints of hazelnut and vanilla. The palate is full and creamy with concentrated flavours of dried fruits and marzipan with a grassy freshness. A central core of acidity gives the wine a long, complex, and succulent finish with a slightly salty touch. Drink now through to 2031." Winemaker's notes
