David & Nadia “Plat’bos” Chenin Blanc 2022
“Introducing the fifth vintage of the Plat’bos Chenin blanc, planted right next to the Skaliekop vineyard in decomposed granite. Planted in 1981 on the Paardebosch farm, this vineyard contributes to both our main Chenin blanc as well as Aristargos and it will continue to do so. We have been farming this vineyard since winter 2013 and it has been a pillar in our granite approach towards our white wines. Grapes were harvested in the first part of February, being one of the earliest Chenin blanc vineyards we work with, planted on a northern slope. Harvesting took place over two picking dates and both lots were fermented and aged separately. Plat’bos is also part of the Old Vine Project (OVP).” – Winemaker’s notes

"Our bread and butter", is how David Sadie describes this old-vine Chenin Blanc, sourced from eight different sites on the Paardeberg, most of which are on granite. Earthy, stony, layered and refreshing, it offers scents of fennel and lanolin and a palate of citrus, green apple, leesy complexity and a palate-cleansing finish." - Tim Atkin MW
Domaine du Clos Naudin Vouvray Moelleux Réserve 2018

"This cuvée has a residual sugar of 130 g/l, with an acidity of 4.5 g/l, and it was bottled just one month before tasting. Youthful purity on the nose, an aromatic profile which suggests finesse, with notes of white peach, freshly crushed pear and crisp white apple flesh. The palate carries a delicious intensity, showing the same pure and finessed style, as well as wonderful complexities redolent of vanilla, wild red fruits, mango and peach too. This is delicious. A pretty amazing wine with astonishing potential." -Chris Kissack, The Wine Doctor
Keermont “Riverside” Magnum 2018

"The 2018 Chenin Blanc Single Vineyard Series Riverside has a taut bouquet, quite neutral in style; hints of fish scales emerge with time. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, brisk and breezy, not overly complex but precise on the finish, which reveals subtle yeasty scents. Very fine." - Neal Martin, Vinous

Keermont Riverside Chenin Blanc 2019 "Sourced from clay and alluvial soils close to the winery on the Upper Blauuwklippen Road, this is an engagingly focused, layered, refreshing Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc from Alex Starey, showing lots of stony minerality, pear and green apple flavours and slightly salty undertone." - Tim Atkin MW
