Champagne Pierre Péters Grande Réserve Grand Cru Non-Vintage
Cuvée Grande Réserve Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru “The wine is like crystal, the robe is golden with hints of green typical to the Chardonnay. The mousse is fine and regular with a pretty ribbon of strong bubbles. First nose is flowery, full of fresh flavors quickly evolving to notes of white peaches and citrus peel Some hints of toasted bread, as well. This wine shows its generosity on the palate while remaining very pure and elegant. First sip is both greedy and tense, dominated by whites fruits, lemon confit and tangerine peel. Then come fine hints of grilled hazelnut. The finish reveals the typical chalk of Le Mesnil sur Oger which brings to the wine a vivid effect and a long after-taste of sea salt and iodine.” – Winemaker’s notes
"The 2021 Chardonnay Sol is quite restrained and delicate in the glass with floral nuances, crushed stones and lime. It's much more expressive on the palate, with brisk acidity giving life to its mineral-inflected orchard fruits. This tapers off with a pretty inner sweetness offsetting its youthful concentration, leaving hints of floral-laced apple and pear. The 2021 will take some time to come fully into focus." - Eric Guido, Vinous
"The 2020 Chardonnay Ronco Basso is youthfully backward today, with crushed almonds giving way to pretty hints of young peach and dusty florals. Its silken textures coat the palate in ripe apple and pear complemented by hints of sweet almond. The finish is long, stained with confectionery spice and a gentle tug of minerality. The Ronco Basso impresses with its balance and elegance." - Eric Guido, Vinous
