Damascene W.O. Stellenbosch Cabernet Franc 2020, “Vibrant aromas of fresh fennel, bramble, black cherries, dried violets, graphite, and hints of sweet tobacco. The wine is fragrant and evolving; leafy on the edges, conjuring up images of tomato vines in the sun, alongside camphor and campfire under starry skies. An energetic and nervy palate is wrapped around a core of iodine, overlaid with tangy redcurrants, tart cherries, cranberries, and blackcurrants. The fresh fruit is complemented by lively acidity and an inherent vitality.
