“In the end, I’m unable to definitely say that the 2017 Hermitage Blanc is better than the stupendous 2016. Of course, I sampled it just three days after it was bottled, so I’ve appended the + to my rating, as there’s a possibility the wine may have been affected by that process. It’s gently toasty but dominated at this stage by forward melon and pineapple fruit. Full-bodied and incredibly rich yet balanced, it unfolds in waves of flavor and texture, lingering for what seems like minutes on the finish. Hit it soon to enjoy its youthful opulence, or put it aside for 10-12 years.” – Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
"The Terrasse 2022 has an inviting aroma with notes of spring flowers, ripe apricots and citrus, and a hint of fennel. The palate is soft and luscious, with lovely fresh acidity and an array of flavours: ripe apricot, peach and quince flavours complimented by richer more spicy savoury fruit. This follows into a lingering aftertaste with salty acidity." - Winemaker's notes
"Aszu 5 Puttonyos 2014 is a bright golden colour and has the characteristic aromas of ripe apricot, honey, and citric nuances of grapefruit. It is complex and rich with a refreshing finish, typical of a classic sweet Tokaji wine, without forgetting the acidity perfectly balancing the sweetness." Winemaker's note
"The Rall white is an 80/20 cuvée of Swartland and Stellenbosch grapes, combining Chenin Blanc with 24% Verdelho and 4% Viognier. Showing some subtle struck match reduction, it displays flavours of citrus, beeswax and apricot, very understated oak spices and surprising weight and concentration for a wine with 12.5% alcohol." - Tim Atkin MW
