Domaine de Montille “Les Rugiens-Bas” 1er Cru de Pommard 2017

“The 2017 Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru contains two-thirds whole clusters and matures in one-third new oak. It has an intense bouquet, the fruit slightly darker than the Les Pezerolles, touches of réglisse and star anis emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, smooth in texture with good depth, though I discern more terroir expression on the Les Pezerolles at this moment.” – Neal Martin, Vinous
