“Like the Refosco, the 2013 Merlot Vigna Dominin shows what appears to be a desire to maintain more freshness in the wines. Vibrant and medium in body, the 2013 is a model of understated finesse. Even so, there is no shortage of intensity, its just that the wine is better balanced than in the past, with more freshness and redder tonalities to the fruit, and less oak influence. I would wait to drink the 2013 for at least a few years in order to allow the wine to develop more aromatic complexity. This is a lovely showing.” – Antonio Galloni, Vinous
