Champagne Lanson “Clos Lanson” Blanc de Blancs Brut 2007

“Disgorged in July 2016 with only three grams per liter dosage, the 2007 Brut Blanc de Blancs Clos Lanson is showing very well indeed, unwinding in the glass with notes of dried white flowers, citrus oil, toasted brioche, oyster shell and smoke. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, deep and vibrant, with a racy spine of acidity, good concentration and chalky structuring extract. This is quite a tightly knit, tensile wine, despite the warm mesoclimate and two years on cork, which suggests it will enjoy a long future” – William Kelley, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
"Taut, linear, focused and appealingly bone dry, this all-Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs uses 16% "perpetual reserve" material dating back to 2006 and partial barrel fermentation of the base wine to create added complexity. Mouth-wateringly tangy and chiselled with salted lemon, biscuit and cashew flavours and thrilling palate length." - Tim Atkin MW
"The 2020 Chardonnay Ronco Basso is youthfully backward today, with crushed almonds giving way to pretty hints of young peach and dusty florals. Its silken textures coat the palate in ripe apple and pear complemented by hints of sweet almond. The finish is long, stained with confectionery spice and a gentle tug of minerality. The Ronco Basso impresses with its balance and elegance." - Eric Guido, Vinous
