Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Crau 2019
“The 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape La Crau is a hugely successful vintage, marked by scents of sun-warmed stones, garrigue, black cherries and black olives. Full-bodied, rich and velvety, it finishes with tremendous length and softly dusty tannins, which should help ensure a long, positive evolution.” – Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate

Chateau de Saint Cosme Little James NV, "I enjoyed the non-vintage Little James. A blend of primarily Grenache (from both the Southern Rhone and the Languedoc-Roussillon), some of which is vinified carbonically, it is an excellent, surprisingly substantial, heady, full-flavored bistro red. Consume it over the next several years.- Robert M. Parker, Jr., The Wine Advocate
Petit Cantenac Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2020

"The 2020 Petit Cantenac is made from 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has 14% alcohol and is aging in barriques, 40% new, for 12 months. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it slides effortlessly out of the glass with bright, vivacious notes of kirsch, baked plums and black raspberries, plus touches of Provence herbs and damp soil. The medium-bodied palate is softly textured and refreshing, delivering dried herbs-laced red and black berry layers and a savory finish. 16,000 bottles are due to be made." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate
Conceito Red 2018
R494.99 inc. VAT
"The 2018 Tinto, the estate flagship, is a field blend from old vines (90+ years) aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak (the rest second use). It comes in at 14.1% alcohol. This shows no more depth than the Contraste, but the rest is far superior—in case you are wondering why to trade up. The intensity of fruit flavor is far stronger. Even while it stays dry and serious, this has much more expressive fruit and a much longer finish that is chock-full of flavor. It handles the wood well. The tannins here are relatively soft too, but here the wine does show more evidence of a backbone to go with its finesse. Elegant overall, this is just lovely—a wine that is a perfect food wine. It will be a popular choice and hard to dislike. The only question becomes whether this can develop into anything more in time. It has a chance to do that, but I'll stay conservative in evaluation just now. In the meanwhile, it is very approachable now. And quite delicious." - Mark Squires, The Wine Advocate
