“The 2019 Lexuberance Rosé, pure Merlot planted on deep limestone soil with just under 2g/l residual sugar, has a forward and expressive nose of orange blossom, lanolin and red cherries, just a touch of pink grapefruit in the background. The palate offers upfront red cherries mixed with mandarin and grapefruit, a bitter orange peel and undercurrent lending tension with appealing persistency on the finish. Clos Cantenac Saint Emilion 2014

The 2014 was produced from 100% Merlot that was hand-harvested block by block and matured in French oak barrels for 20 months (40% was new, 60% was 2nd use). This is a deep, rich and expressive wine, with lovely notes ripe red berries, mocha, truffle, spices and graphite. It is an excellent option for earlier drinking but has the credentials to keep a few more years.

"The 2016 Clos Cantenac is a 100% Merlot picked from 21 September to 7 October, aged in 45% new oak barrels for 12 months. It has a concentrated bouquet with blackberry and cassis notes, just a hint of raisin, the oak neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with black cherries, blueberry and loganberry.
