First stop was the region’s most famous name – Didier Dagueneau.
Only two of these wooden eggs were made and Dagueneau has one of them – a piece of art.
The flinty vineyard that forms part of their most sought-after wine – Silex.
Getting close to the soil in their other premium white – Pur Sang.
Vineyard right next to grazing land – very interesting.
Next was a visit to the consistent and impressive Alphonse Mellot. Emmanuelle Mellot took us around. Beautiful, classy sauvignon blanc this.
Last stop was Francis Cotat in Chavignol.
