Il Poggione Rosso di Montalcino 2016
- Great Domaines
- The Wine Advocate
all ratings out of 100 points.
"The 2016 Rosso di Montalcino is packed tight with bold cherry fruit and blueberry. The wine's color is dark, almost purple, and the aromas are vinous and raw. The bouquet here offers a very direct and immediate quality of fruit, and you can absolutely taste the skins, pulp and seeds of the grape. That taste profile brings you straight inside the Sangiovese berry. All that tonic freshness and fruitiness just calls out for a steaming plate of fettuccine with wild porcini mushrooms piled high on top" - Monica Larner, The Wine Advocate
